 Position Type: Independent Contractor
Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications

Reports to: Owner/Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled, self-motivated, safety-minded, and detail oriented Lawn and Landscape Technician to join our team as an independent contractor. This role goes beyond mowing and trimming—ideal candidates will also possess mechanical aptitude, basic building/construction skills, and hold relevant certifications where applicable.

• Be safety conscientious at all times, and mindful to cause no damage to equipment or property.  
  
• Perform lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing using our professional-grade equipment
   
• Provide seasonal landscaping services (mulching, planting, pruning, leaf cleanup, etc.)
   
• Operate and maintain lawn care and landscaping tools and machinery
   
• Perform minor mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
   
• Assist with small outdoor construction and property improvement projects (e.g., fences, raised beds, retaining walls, cleanup projects, and various hardscape improvements)
   
• Identify and report property issues or hazards
   
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of job sites
   
• Communicate clearly with team members and clients as needed
  
• Follow through on tasks and assignments, double-check finished work, and be detail oriented.

• Proven experience in lawn care, landscaping, or related field
   
• Mechanical skills: Ability to service and troubleshoot small engines, mowers, and trimmers
   
• Building/construction experience: Comfort with hand tools, small repairs, or basic carpentry is a plus
   
• Certifications such as pesticide application or equipment operation (preferred)
   
• High level of reliability, initiative, and professionalism
   
• Strong work ethic and physical stamina for outdoor work in varied conditions
   

• Must be a U.S. citizen
   
• High school diploma or GED required
   
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  
  
• Agree to a background check and driving record
   
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
   
• Willingness to work seasonally, as needed

• Pay is hourly, depending on scope and experience
